Drupal, OpenID and Google

Its taken me a long time (too much beer probably) to get round to using openID with Drupal sites. No particular reason - although i do seem to remember support being patchy and basecamp just not working with OpenID back in the day.
Well, now that Basecamp has been thoroughly twatted by OpenAtrium i find myself with lots of Drupal Atrium logins, Drupal site logins etc. LDAP over SSL is my preferred option for internal and production machines, but for third party access, you cant beat a bit of OpenID.
- Get a google account and sign in(dont think this works with apps yet but you can associate your apps and non-apps account - http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/Google+Apps/thread?tid=73434103b07... - well, you can't really - damn poor show Google)
- Get your profile url - mine being - http://www.google.com/profiles/steev.initsix
- Login to your Drupal site using your usual username and password
- goto /user and click on the openID tab (assuming its enabled)
- Paste your profile url und et voila
- Next time you login, just paste your profile url into the OpenID input
